Written by the aforementioned Peruvian percussionist Alex Acuña, “Perfidia” has a tantalizing slow tango rhythm. Serving as
arranger in addition to his duties as pianist, Cunliffe brings in a string section to add a subtle extra layer to the tune. James adds
a bilingual twist at around the halfway mark, drawing out the final notes beautifully in Spanish.
